Percussion

Enlisted in 2012, ME2 Lim holds a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) conferred by the Royal College of Music.

He studied under renowned timpanist/percussionists from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Prior to his career in the SAF Band, ME2 Lim represented Singapore on the world stage, performing with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra at the 2012 Young Euro Classic in Berlin. He also played a pivotal role in the Singapore Wind Symphony Percussion Ensemble, clinching Gold with Distinction (1st Division) in 2013 and Gold award (World/Open Division) in 2017 at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, Netherlands.

Apart from the SAF Band, ME2 Lim has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions and is actively freelancing as the Principal Timpanist with both the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra and Orchestra of the Music Makers.

ME2 Lim also serves as Dy Programming Team Manager and Instructor (Performance).
